The Dance with Mweyne Foundation is a non-profit organization created by fitness professional Betina Gozo. Inspired by a volunteer trip to Kenya at the Ongata Rongai Special Home for Children and Adults, Betina created the Dance with Mweyne Foundation to make a difference in the lives of the underserved population of children and adults with disabilities. In the time she was there, she quickly realized the impact that more volunteers could make, but also the lack of volunteers they were getting.
The residents at Ongata Rongai Special Home for Children and Adults benefited from the volunteers in a variety of ways: some learning how to feed themselves for the first time or simply having someone’s hand to squeeze while they watched TV.
The Train for Mweyne Fundraiser is a unique fitness fundraising event benefiting the Dance with Mweyne Foundation, a non-profit founded by Betina Gozo to make a difference in the lives of the under-served population of children and adults with disabilities. Register to choose your event and then you'll get your own page to invite others, spread the word and fundraise. By registering for one or more of our events, you'll not only feel great from these inspiring workouts but by knowing you made a difference!
